The mission of One Heart Ministries is to provide a comprehensive program consisting of parental and infant development focusing on first time parents between the ages of 16 and 25, parents abusing elicit substances and parents with a mental health or substance abuse diagnosis. The program provided by One Heart Ministries assists in supporting these parents to successfully raise their children and to encourage in meeting educational and health care responsibilities for their children. The program is designed to employ educational, social, and economic strategies, as well as a variety of other initiatives that will improve the quality of life for the parents and their families.
One Heart Ministries envisions healthy parents with healthy babies. It is the vision of One Heart Ministries to play an integral role in reducing the cycle of poverty by helping young parents develop a vision for their own future, a plan for future pregnancies and the opportunity to continue their education, obtain and maintain employment and become self supportive.
Established in 2011, One Heart Ministries is a non profit organization 501(c)3 that creates and delivers programs and services for the community that support, encourage and strengthen families, focusing on first time parents between the ages of 16 and 25, parents abusing elicit substances and parents with a mental health or substance abuse diagnosis. One Heart Ministries works hard to find the need and meet it. Through community support programs on pregnancy, parenting, sexual health, substance abuse, abusive relationships, responsible media and internet usage we aim to improve the physical and mental health, well being and thought process of our young parents for generations to come.
Located in Huntersville, NC, and providing house call and teleservices to Huntersville, NC, Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas, One Heart Ministries helps young parents understand how to be effective parents, prevent unplanned subsequent pregnancies, navigate community resources, and gain access to tools and support that allow for success in their education and in their new role as a parent.
